Bernice, principal of Lower Yatta, and the 22 "Daughters of Rotary Club of the Sunshine Coast Society" 2021
The Rotary Club Sunshine Coast-Sechelt Society is pleased to announce that sufficient funding has been provided for 106 scholarships for the students of Lower Yatta and Kyaithani Secondary Schools.
For the first time ever, every student at Lower Yatta and Kyaithani Secondary Schools who originated from a Kyaithani cluster primary school will receive a scholarship.
This is up from 69 last year, due in part to continued ongoing support from our donors, and also to the decision made at the request of the parents of the Kyaithani Community, to reduce the amount of each scholarship from Cdn$150 to Cdn$110 in order to provide scholarships to more eligible students who originated from Kyaithani Cluster primary schools.
Principal Bernice expressed great pride in knowing that all of her 22 students would be receiving scholarships for the 2021 academic year, calling them the "Daughters of the Rotary Club of the Sunshine Coast Society."
