— SCRC Volunteer Fair 2023
Coming on April 13, 2024, from 10 am to 3 pm, our 3rd annual Sunshine Coast Volunteer fair will give organizations a chance to showcase their charitable organizations for the community. Click on the button below to learn more. Come one out and enjoy this special event!
— SCRC Skate Park
Throughout the summer of 2021, the Sechelt Rotary Skate Park was cleaned up, resurfaced, and graced with new graffiti art from students and community artists. On September 12, we held a Grand Re-Opening Party for the community.
— Automated External Defibrillators
In 2020 the Rotary Club of the Sunshine Coast worked with the Sunshine Coast Regional District and other organizations to have 20 AEDs installed at trailheads, playgrounds and other accessible outdoor locations where people gather for recreation.
— Annual Herring Project
A successful herring spawning season brings stronger salmon runs and attracts larger marine mammal and bird populations. Curtains are hung off of docks provide safer, healthier environments for herring to lay eggs which may give them an increased chance for survival.
— Friendship Park
A fun place for families to visit with play and fun for children, the Rotary Friendship Park is a special accomplishment. More of this story to come.
— Chatelech Food Program
The Chatelech Food Program is an initiative that provides food to students at Chatelech Secondary School in Sechelt, BC. It began in 2018 with a collaboration between the Rotary Club of the Sunshine Coast and the Halfmoon Bay Chatelech Community School Association (HMBCCSA).Since its beginning in 2018 the Chatelech Food Program has made a lasting impact on the students.
